Updated UNI 10966:2020, the reference standard for the sector, with the design and application rules for resins in construction.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of standard 10966 is to provide the rules for the design and application of resin systems for internal and external horizontal and vertical surfaces of civil and industrial buildings, applied on site using liquid systems at room temperature on all horizontal and vertical surfaces such as, for example, industrial, civil or tertiary flooring, walls, ramps and inclined surfaces in general.<\/p>\n<p>The new UNI 10966 standard updated in 2020 replaces not only the previous version of 2007, but also UNI 8297:2004, thus incorporating all the technical requirements of the sector into a single reference standard.<br \/>\nThe standard defines the criteria for the correct design and application of resin systems and its knowledge becomes a necessary requirement to be able to take the certification exam according to UNI 11835, the UNI 10966 standard.\u00a0<b>It is aimed primarily at designers and applicators<\/b>\u00a0and it is one\u00a0<b>extremely important contractual instrument<\/b>.<br \/>\nThe revision of the standard (2020) introduced important updates and innovations compared to its previous version (2007), including:<br \/>\na) we are talking about a \u201csystem\u201d and not a coating; the system implies a series of products applied according to specific procedures;<br \/>\nb) reformulation of definitions and classification of systems according to thickness;<br \/>\nc) provides the criteria for the diagnosis, analysis and preparation of supports, including vertical ones and new types of support;d) the topic of the anti-slip properties of flooring is discussed;e) typical aesthetic phenomena are outlined;f) provides clear indications for the acceptance criteria of imperfections;g) reports the requirements, technical data and minimum performance tables for each type of system taken into consideration.h) the criteria for the definition and functional and constructive integration of the layers of the treated surfaces directly connected with the installation of resin systems, i.e. the distribution layer and the levelling layer.i) defines the terminology relating to the products used and the installation techniques as well as the characteristics themselves;l) clarifies the requirements for installation, with specific reference to:- types of products used; achievable laying geometries, type of surface preparation prior to laying relating to the type of resin system to be applied as well as execution times, usability and environmental conditions.m) establishes the testing and acceptance criteria of the finished resin system;m) specifies the maintenance cycles of the flooring in service in the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance cycles and the equipment that can be used for this purpose;n) defines the requirements for carrying out repairs;The updating of this standard was made possible thanks to the commitment of Conpaviper (Italian Association of Subfloors, Screeds, Continuous Flooring and Coatings), which worked jointly in the UNI commission for the drafting and technical revision of the text.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Pavimenti in resina, una vera rivoluzione!!
