ST 500 IDR

ST 500 IDR is a water-repellent enhancer with high resistance to chemical agents, acid rains, and weather conditions. It is particularly suitable for treating porous building surfaces with rough, flamed, sawn, bushhammered, acid-treated, tumbled, or sandblasted finishes. The product enhances the color of the substrate while making it water-repellent and preventing the formation of efflorescences, without creating unsightly plastic films. It allows the surface to breathe and moisture to evaporate naturally, thus inhibiting the growth of algae and mold. The product does not yellow.

Description

HOW TO USE

Dilution: the product is ready to use and does not need to be diluted.

ApplicationThe product is ready to use and should not be diluted. Clean the surface with a suitable detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and once the surface is perfectly clean and dry, apply a first coat of the product manually using an uncolored cotton cloth, ensuring even application and avoiding irregular absorption. It can also be applied with a brush or a fine rectangular sponge, taking care to avoid uneven absorption and to spread the product uniformly. It is recommended to apply a small amount of product and spread it thoroughly to avoid sticky surface residues. The treated surface is walkable after 24 hours. Full protection becomes active after 24–48 hours and is fully achieved in about 5–7 days, depending on environment humidity.

PRECAUTIONS

Do not apply the product on too hot surfaces or under direct sunlight. Do not walk on the floor if still not dry.

QUANTITY OF USE

Approximately 10-15 litres per 100 m2 per coat applied, depending on the porosity of the material.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

The product must be stored in the original containers, perfectly sealer, at a temperature between 5 and 30°C and shielded from direct sunlight at ventilated area. In these conditions, the product has a self-life of 12 months of the date quoted in the delivery note. If the material has been stored for longer than its recommended self-life, it might still be suitable, but this has to be determined beforehand by performing quality checks on its application-related properties.
