Special solution for removing rust and oxidation from light granites

DERUGGY-STOP is an acid-based formulation that allows you to eliminate rust stains from granites and is a product particularly suitable for neutralizing elements inherent in materials that, once exposed to atmospheric agents, take on a yellowish color, impoverishing the quality of the material. DERUGGYSTOP is effectively applied on materials such as Solar White, Camelia White, Kashmir, Panna Fragola, Bianco Kristal, Azularan, Rosa Beta, and all light granites in general. The product can be used both by slab manufacturers and to clean materials already laid and in use.

Description

HOW TO USE

For slate manufacturers:

  • Working on shiny material.
  • Shake the product before use.
  • Apply DERUGGY-STOP evenly on the slab (from bottom to top if it is placed vertically), using a sprayer or a brush.
  • Place plastic shims (absolutely not wooden ones) between one sheet and another.
  • Leave to act for 1 to 12 hours depending on the quantity and persistence of the rust stains to be removed.
  • Wash thoroughly with clean, non-recycled water, using a brush.

Attention: On light granites, the application of DERUGGY-STOP in pure concentration could cause the materials to darken slightly. We recommend dilution in these proportions: 70 product:30 water. It is possible to preliminarily evaluate the effectiveness of DERUGGY-STOP without waiting the normal times required for the final application. In fact, DERUGGY-STOP can be applied to a sample of material that has rust stains, leave to absorb for about half an hour, then heat with a flame until the surface is completely dry. If the stain disappears, DERUGGY-STOP is effective for the type of material treated. Otherwise, consult our technical service. After treatment with DERUGGY-STOP, we recommend applying LITHOS, or PRIMALAS/92 or IDROSILAN, water-repellents that, by limiting contact between the material and external atmospheric agents, provide greater protection against the reformation of the oxide.

INDICATIVE COVERAGE

Consumption varies depending on the type of surface. On average 1 lt per 10 m2 approximately.

STORAGE

The product must be stored in the original containers, hermetically sealed, at temperatures between 0 and 25°C, protected from direct sunlight in a well-ventilated area. In these conditions the product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of the delivery note. If the material has been kept beyond the recommended shelf life, it is not necessarily unusable but a quality control must be performed beforehand on the characteristics relevant to the application.

In addition to good working practices, before applying the product, it is advisable to read the safety data sheets that are available on our website www.federchemicals.it or upon request to your local dealer, as well as the instructions on the packaging. Do not store the product at temperatures below 10°C. We decline all responsibility for the processing and for damage that may result from improper and incorrect use of the product.
