Acidic disintegrating product for materials of calcareous origin with an orange peel finish effect

PETRA ANTIQUA is a highly concentrated acid-based chemical disintegrant in aqueous solution to quickly, practically and economically age even new marbles as if they had aesthetically lived a thousand years. It imparts corrosion to marbles and allows for obtaining an antiquing chemical sandblasting and a surface finish with an orange peel effect; creating in 30 minutes what nature creates over time. PETRA ANTIQUA allows for chemical sandblasting of many colored and non-colored marbles; it stands out for its ease of application and is particularly suitable for small productions and on materials such as: Rosso Verona, Biancone, Trani, etc., excluding stones and granites.

Description

HOW TO USE

Dilution: The product is used as received.
Application: Wet the entire polished slab, i.e. smoothed and laid horizontally, with the PETRA ANTIQUA product uniformly, using a watering can as a working tool or another suitable applicator. Leave to act for approximately 15-30 minutes; then rinse thoroughly with clean water. If you want a more marked effect, repeat the acid-etching operation, leaving the PETRA ANTIQUA product to act for no more than 5-10 minutes, always following the same method as described above. Always do a sample test on a small surface to evaluate the effectiveness of the product and observe whether copious white foam forms on the marble. If so, proceed with the acid-etching treatment, leaving the product to act for 15 minutes and rinsing with water.

STORAGE

The product must be stored in the original containers, hermetically sealed, at temperatures between 0 and 25°C, protected from direct sunlight in a ventilated area. In these conditions the product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of the delivery note. If the material has been kept beyond the recommended shelf life, it is not necessarily unusable but a quality control must be performed beforehand on the characteristics relevant to the application.

PRECAUTION

Always work in open spaces or under extractor hoods.
