HOW TO USE
PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT: the substrates to be covered must be intact, dry, free from loose parts, dust, dirt, grease, oil and any other material that could compromise the adhesion of the product to the substrate.
Before carrying out the treatment, it is always necessary to carry out thorough sanding followed by the extraction of the dust produced using an industrial vacuum cleaner in order to guarantee adhesion to the substrate.
PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT: If you want to give a non-slip finish, it is necessary to add, under continuous mixing, the micrometric fillers SAFE STEP R13 at a rate of 5-10% by weight.
APPLICATION: apply POLYLUX TRF no later than 48 hours after the application of epoxy and polyurethane coatings at a temperature of 20°C. Depending on the type of application, the product can be diluted with a specific thinner at a rate of 3-5%. The mixed product can be applied using a short-haired roller or by airless spraying; it is recommended to apply the product in two crossed coats and taking care not to exceed the recommended doses.
In case the surface is damp or there is no vapour barrier, the surface must be treated with approx. 500-1000 g/m2 of UNICO TRIEPOXY, the surface will then need to be primed with a coat of EPOXYLUX AC/F.
| APPLICATION DATA (At 23°C and 50%U.R.) | |
|---|---|
| Mixing ratio (by weight) | Comp. A : comp. B 1:3 Glossy finish 1:4 satin finish |
| Workability time at +20°C | 2 hours |
| Application temperature | from +10°C to +35°C |
| Setting time | 6-8 hours |
| Walkability | 24 hours |
| Ready for contact with aggressive chemicals | 5 days |
TOOL CLEANING: Equipment used for preparation and application can be cleaned with thinner for products and epoxy resins.
INDICATIVE COVERAGE
0.120-0.150 kg /m2 per coat for both glossy and matt finishes, rougher surfaces and lower temperatures increase consumption and lengthen the hardening times of the material.
STORAGE
Storage 12 months, if stored in well-closed containers and in a cool, dry place with a temperature between +5°C and +25°C.
