Description
HOW TO USE
PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT: depending on the conditions of the substrate, preparation can be carried out by pre-sanding, shot blasting or milling. In any case, the surface must be clean, free from dust or oily substances, grease, loose parts, paint or anything else that interferes with the adhesion of the product.
PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT: pour component B into component A (catalyst) and mix with a low-speed drill until a homogeneous mixture of uniform color is obtained. It is then recommended to slowly add component C, mixing further until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained.
PREPARATION FOR VAPOR BARRIER APPLICATION
1. Mix the pre-dosed component C (6.5 kg) with clean water (1,700 l) and mix thoroughly.
2. Mix the pre-dosed components A (5,000 kg) + B (2,500 kg).
3. Combine the two mixtures (point 1 with point 2), stirring.
4. You can now proceed with the addition of silica sand 0.1-0.3 to the compound. With a maximum ratio of 3 kg every 13.3 kg of UNICO TRI-EPOXY.
NB: for new subfloors, consider at least 1 week after completion of the floor.
to) For mixing, we recommend using a double-helix mixer with low speed.
b) Adding water at point 1 is not mandatory, but it decreases the thixotropy of the compound, making it more fluid and therefore simplifying its application.
APPLICATION: must be done with a spatula, in 2 coats: for the 1st coat use approximately 2/3 of the mixture, while for the 2nd coat use the remaining 1/3. Apply at room temperature not lower than 10°C.
ATTENTION
Do not apply on wet surfaces with a film of surface water and in the presence of bleeding. Do not apply directly on anhydrite or gypsum-based substrates and existing cement or gypsum-based smoothing. Do not apply on damaged parts that can move (the product is rigid and therefore could crack).
TOOL CLEANING
The equipment used must be cleaned immediately after use with water, after the product has hardened, removal can only be carried out mechanically.
INDICATIVE COVERAGE
- 250-300 g/m2 per coat, on non-absorbent surfaces.
- 400-500 g/m2 per coat, on absorbent surfaces.
- 1.5 kg/m2 per mm of thickness as a vapour barrier.
- 1.5 kg/m2 per mm of thickness as a skim coat.
STORAGE
The shelf life of the product is 12 months from the date of the delivery note, provided that the material is stored indoors, in the original sealed container and protected from heat sources and frost. If the material has been kept beyond the recommended shelf life, it is not necessarily unusable, but a quality control must be performed beforehand on the characteristics pertaining to the application.
